Welcome

Rawlings Conservatory – help preserve a Baltimore treasure on #GivingTuesday

The historic Howard P. Rawlings Conservatory and Botanic Gardens in Druid Hill Park dates to 1888. It is the second oldest conservatory in the country and the last remaining in Baltimore. Like any 128 year old, it is in need of constant care.

#GivingTuesday is a global campaign and call to action – give back to what matters to you on November 29, 2016!

This urban green haven matters to Baltimore – it is a place to relax, to learn, to experience beauty, and to connect with nature.

Please make a gift to the Friends of the Rawlings Conservatory on November 29. Join in the effort to preserve the space and its collection of plants from around the world for future generations.

About The Friends of Rawlings Conservatory

Formerly known as The Baltimore Conservatory Association (BCA), the Friends of Rawlings Conservatory have been working in partnership to support the Howard Peters Rawlings Conservatory and Botanic Gardens (HPRC) since 1998 with fundraising, event planning, marketing, and more. In fact, we’ve been supporting the Conservatory for so long that our name reflected their old name, before it was renamed in 2004 in honor of delegate Howard Peters Rawlings. For some individuals and funding organizations, it has not been clear that our organization supports one public garden – the Rawlings Conservatory!

With our new name, Friends of the Rawlings Conservatory, we hope it will be clear to all that donations, grants, and major gifts directly support the HPRC.  Friends of the Rawlings Conservatory (FRC) is an all volunteer member-supported 501-c-3 nonprofit organization dedicated to developing and promoting the public’s enjoyment, appreciation, and understanding of plants and their different environments from around the world through educational programming, exhibits and events at the Rawlings Conservatory. We hope you will come grow with us!
